We should all strive for something in life. One way to get want you want in life is to set yourself goals. A goal is an objective. eg. I want to be happy.
Unfortunately some people don't know what they want in/ from life. They could be confused. They need to clear their thoughts and listen to their heart, emotions, feelings, intuition, and inner self. After a while this should help them decide what they want to do in life.
A goal I recommend for everybody, 'I want to be happy with what I have, fulfilled'
This is not a materialistic goal, but believe me happiness is worth it.
To achieve happiness I recommend reading the page on happiness
Goals should be 'SMART' ie.
Strategic, Measurable, Achievable, and Realistic Targets
To get our goals we need to visualize us with that goal. eg. Visualize winning a race, or winning a prize.
Positive thinking and affirmations also help tremendously. Eg. I am the fastest 100m runner in the town or I am a very fast sprinter.
Make sure that you visualize those goals and winning those goals.
Materialistic goals need a target eg. I will sell 1000 products by the end of the month
I attended a presentation given by Brian Mayne. Brian Mayne has worked closely with self improvement guru's like Anthony Robbins.
Brian's theme was similar to Anthony Robbins, you know positive thinking, visualization, goal setting etc. However, he added that not only should you write out your seven life goals but you should also draw a symbol or icon to represent each goal.
This enables both sides of your brain to engage in the visualization process and this increases the chances of your goals being realized / manifested.
Areas to set Life Goals and examples
Mental Emotional (feelings) - 'I think with my heart'
Physical (Body & Health) -' I am vibrant and full of energy'
Financial(Material) - 'My cup floweth over'
Social (Relationships) - 'I see the divine in all people'
Spirirtual (Meaning & Reason) - 'I anchor heaven on Earth'
True Self - 'I want to be a grander version of myself'

If you abide by the Seven laws of Spritual Success then you can literally manifest anything you want.
One of the laws is about intention nd desire
While meditating - visualize what you vividly desire what you want. Now make a conscious intention to get that whivh you desire - visualize yourself with that goal.
Now release that to the cosmos. Don't worry about your goal anymore, just know that you can achieve it and know that you will have it.
It is the knowing that is very powerful. This method does not require you to consciously think about your goal!
But don't tell friends about your desires unless they share their's with you because ego and jealousy can get involved.
The thing is that you will only manifest the things that you are meant to. If something is too ego based or materialistic you may not get it - it has to be in line with your true purpose (Law of Dharma)
Belive me it works!
Choose an Inner Purpose
Choose to develop your inner talents and creative abilities
Rekindle a hobby, or find out what you enjoyed about your hobbies
Everybody likes a calm serene person.
So isn't that a worthwhile direction to aim for? - it's inevitable so you might as well start sooner rather than later
Worthwhile Goals:
All with an alturistic intention ie. for the good of all sentient beings, for highest good of all
Virtues:
To reach there one needs to purify and master one's thoughts, actions, words etc.
When we are peaceful and our minds quiten - we see things more clearly and develop prajna-wisdom - transcendental wisdom - which helps us live life more joyously and without reacting all the time out of negative ego, and instead respond from our intuitive voice.
Start by meditating - focus on your breath for a few minutes
see pages on virtue, Christ / Buddha - consciousness, service to others
Also commune with nature and ask for signs
